Los Angeles has the Largest Homeless Crisis and Foster Care System in the United States

While our city is attempting to find solutions to the homeless crisis, most people are not considering the children who often times end up homeless. We are making sure you see and hear the children in the foster care system who all too often fall between.

The United States has over 400,000 children in the foster care system. Los Angeles has over 25,000 children in our foster care system, which is higher than any other city.

Within the first 2 years children age out of the foster care system, statistically 50% of children will become homeless, 25% of children will become incarcerated, and 15% of children will become trafficked. The remaining 10% might make it to their 21st birthday without becoming a statistic. Our goal is to not only change the statistics, but to make sure each and every child in our system has the resources they need to succeed.
